Stock Level: 10

Product Information

Weight (as shown in photo): 67 grams
KV: 4600-4800 rpm/volt
ESC Timing: Low for Flyfun Series ESCs (higher timing does not increase RPM only amp draw)

Motor adapter assembly will fit directly into an XF fan, Hyperflow fan, Wattage Fan, Alfa, Wicked, or SF fan without any modification needed. The aluminum adapter flange has 3mm threaded mounting holes at industry common 16mm and 17mm spacing.  My most popular upgrade for 3S operation in the latest 64mm EDF jets being sold all over the internet (see the EDO option below) Note: most 64mm fans units require four plastic tabs to be removed to allow the Wicked motor to fit inside it, however the newer 64mm fan sold under the name "Airfield" do not requires this modification and do not need any special rotor adapter as the one supplied in your kit will work with the Wicked motor.

3S lipo with Alfa 5 blade rotor: 44,000 rpm, 29 amps, 300 watts
4S lipo with Alfa 5 blade rotor: 53,000 rpm, 40 amps, 560 watts
3S lipo with Alfa 3 blade rotor: 47,000 rpm, 18 amps, 185 watts
4S lipo with Alfa 3 blade rotor: 59,000 rpm, 29 amps, 383 watts
3S lipo with Wattage Powerfan (3 blades): 41,000 rpm, 35 amps, 360 watts, 26 oz thrust
3S lipo with SF fan (3 baldes): 41,000 rpm, 36 amps, 380 watts, 25 oz thrust
3S lipo with Hyperflow fan: 43,800, 31 amps, 340 watts
4S lipo with Hyperflow fan: 52,000 rpm, 41 amps, 560 watts
3S lipo GWS EDF55: 41,000 rpm, 32 amps, 330 watts
4S lipo GWS EDF55: 50,000 rpm, 44 amps, 600 watts
3S lipo with XF fan: 45,000 rpm, 21 amps, 225 watts
4S lipo with XF fan 55,000 rpm,  29 amps, 386 watts
3S lipo GWS EDF64 (6 blades): 40,000 rpm, 34 amps, 350 watts, 26oz thrust
3S lipo GWS EDF64 (3 blades): 42,000 rpm, 29 amps, 310 watts, 22 oz thrust
3S lipo EDO 64mm fan (5 blade): 41,000 rpm, 37 amps, 380 watts (Hobby Lobby EDF ARFs and many others that use the 64mm fan units)
4S lipo Haoye 51mm (7 blade): 50,000 rpm, 530 watts, 41 amps

The use of the Wicked EDF motor in other EDF fan units or with higher cell count lipos than listed above may burn out your motor, ESC and puff your lipo. Please email DonsRC with any questions on setups not listed.

Note: All testing was performed at approx 74F temp with ThunderPower Extreme 3S 2200mah and 4S 2200 mah V2 lipos. Data was collected using an Eagletree Micro Logger in "Live" mode. A DonsRC Pentium 40 ESC was used set to "Low" timing. Motors were mounted in the Afla EDF housing but no inlet or outlet ducting was attached. Your actual RPM and amp draw will vary with ESC, lipo, ducting, exit nozzle sizes, and actual motor KV value. The number posted here are representative of the "typical' motor and I have done my best to try and give you the most accurate test data I can so you can make an educated and informed decision.

Please note the motor options when ordering below:

Motor with standoff adapter and EDO rotor plug:  For use in the 64mm EDO 5 blade fans units as in the Hobby Lobby F-18, Mirage, and  Raidentech F-15 jets. The 5 blade rotor in these planes presses directly onto the included rotor adapter!

Motor with standoff adapter and Alfa rotor plug:  For use with  the Alfa line of EDF jet models. BEYOND BALLISTIC 4S performance!!!

Motor with standoff adapter and no rotor plug : 3mm shaft output.  Fits Hyperfow , XF, Haoye, Wemotec Micro, and Airfireld 64mm  fans.

WARNING: Do not use any Wicked EDF motors with Electrifly or Suppo brushless ESCs, they can not handle the the high rpm of a 6 pole outrunner and will fry the ESC and motor. The Hobbywing FlyFun brand of ESCs are the only recommended ESC for all Wicked EDF motors, set timimg to "low". If using any other brand please contact the ESC manufacturer to get the rpm limitation of the ESC with a 6 pole outrunner motor.  If you are unsure of the ESC you have then please email DonsRC before you try as DonsRC can not be held responsible for burned out motors which are damaged due to lower quality brushless ESCs.

DO NOT SHORTEN THE THREE MOTOR WIRES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Shortening the motors wires will VOID any warranty and DonsRC will not service any motors or be held responsible for any collateral damage to ESCs, fan units, lipos, planes, etc when motor leads have been shortened. In other words don't do it!

NOTE: The use of bullet connector on the motor leads is NOT recommended. Direct solder the motor leads to the ESC leads with 1/4" overlap. Bullet connectors can cause issues that can lead to ESC failure and or motor failure. Use bullet connectors at your own risk.
